Halloween in the Village in Carlsbad
Carlsbad Village turns into a trick or treat route with participating businesses marked by a candy corn icon in the window. There is a costume contest at Village Faire, free carnival games and a bounce house at the Boys and Girls Club, and an allergy and sensory friendly stop with non-food treats and activities.

Where to start: CalRes Homes at 2691 State Street gives pumpkin candy buckets to the first 250 kids. Costume contest sign ups are 11:30am at Village Faire, 300 Carlsbad Village Drive, with judging from noon to 1:00pm. The allergy and sensory friendly stop is Lily Field Realty, 2965 Roosevelt Street.
Note the hours: last year this ran 2:00pm to 6:00pm and a lot of roundups still say that. For 2026 it is 11:00am to 3:00pm.
