42nd Annual Maritime Festival at Dana Point Harbor
Tall ships, reenactors, pirate shows and cannon battles at sea. A big day out, but note this one is up in Orange County, about an hour north of downtown San Diego. Details
- When: Friday, September 11 through Sunday, September 13, 2026. Free areas Saturday and Sunday 10:00 am to 5:00 pm. Pirate Adventure Show at 10:45 am and 1:15 pm both days. Cannon battles all three days: check in 3:30 pm, depart 4:30 pm, back at the dock by 7:30 pm.
- Where: Ocean Institute, Dana Point Harbor, 24200 Dana Point Harbor Dr., Dana Point, CA 92629
- Cost: Free: live music, beer garden, Peddler’s Village, Sailor Camp and the Pirate Adventure Show. Festival Adventure Pass: $20 adults 14 and up, $17 kids 3 to 14, $18.50 seniors 55 and up, under 3 free. Tall Ship Sail cannon battle $80. Escort cruise $60 on Saturday only. Code CANNONFRI takes 15 percent off Friday.
- Ages: Tall Ship Sails require age 4 and up. The Pirate Adventure Show is billed for all ages. Beer garden is 21 and over.
- Getting there: No on site parking. The free Dana Point Trolley serves the harbor.
- Heads up: This is Dana Point in Orange County, not San Diego County. Roughly an hour north. Also, the Adventure Pass page still shows stale 2023 date text, so check dates against the homepage.
