9 Things To Do With Kids in Old Town San Diego
Have you ever visited Old Town San Diego Historic Park? This open air museum celebrating San Diego’s roots is so much fun! Here are 9 things to do with kids there.
1) Watch the dancers! We saw some performers near the candle making store.
2) Let the kids run free on the grassy area in the middle of all the buildings. There’s a flagpole structure type thing in the middle that the kids loved climbing on!
3) Admire all the beautiful flowers and succulents. There are tons all over every shop and beautiful blossoms on the trees! I particularly enjoyed the bougainvillea near the entrance.
4) Take tons of pictures in front of all the cool historic buildings. Many of these buildings are original to San Diego and they make for great photo ops!
5) Let your kids play in the covered wagon in front of the old hotel. It’s really cool and they let kids climb all over it.
6) Touch alllll the rocks, gems, and geodes at the Miner’s Store. There’s also panning for gold out behind the Miner’s Store.
7) Browse the shops in the plaza with Mexican-inspired trinkets, tile, and pottery.
8) Eat Mexican food. Our favorite was Barra Barra. Kids eat free with a paying adult here!
9) Try all the desserts. We liked Nibbles Chocolate and root beer floats from the root beer shop!
